The academy’s onsite partnership at secondary schools across the metro for now, is supported in it entirety by the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) who interacts with the programme ensuring it remains relevant and essential to the scholars we serve within the EGD spectrum.
The EGD Academy mission is to prepare students for career success in industry. The EGD Academy is spearheading the effort to promote the use of CAD within the EGD syllabus thus offering a collaborative program that is full endorsed by the Western Cape Education Department that supports lifelong learning. Currently admission into the EGD Academy is made eligible to Grade 10-12 learners but the initiative will be extended and introduced to Grade8 scholars as a recommendation. Students throughout the Western Cape Education districts will be educated and continuously ( CPD ) developed in CAD & related design to assimilate aspects of the chosen career field
