EGD School CAD Lab
Schools are provided with a licensed educational copy of CAD (Computer-Aided Drawing/Design) software. The objective is to ensure that high school educators and learners benefit from free access to CAD educational software and gain exposure to CAD through the EGD CAD Lab. Educators are given access to a free CAD workshop, initially designed around introductory-level classes at the technical school level. This allows learners to progress through the CAD software system while mastering current draughting techniques to work more productively. The EGD instructor at the school can now meet the needs of students in CAD and expand the curriculum to keep it relevant to industry.
CAD EGD IT Support
The EGD Academy provides secondary schools with free CAD software and training materials that support both formal learning and exploration. Educators can apply online to activate an EGD Academy at their school at no cost. The EGD Academy client service centre connects schools with a knowledgeable CAD technician who provides expert support during the setup. The EGD Academy also hosts monthly workshops, including during school holidays.
